thing 20

I'm getting very frustrated with this "thing 20" I have tried to edit my blog, part of the message went through and lost the rest of it. I will go through the process again. I was ableto send some photo's from my picssa file on my home computer to the blog. The download of photostory keeps being blocked. I really would like to use this but isn't working. AGHHHHHH -so frustrated. At times like this I just want to quit doing this. Taking way to much time. It's time to take a break!
Also I'm no longer on the summer play list. What happened? VFW if you see this please email on school email. Thanks

thing 20

I have tried to do the podcast again. When I tried to download photostory it states "system administrator has blocked" -- I then went to my home lap top and tried it on

thing 23

I have tried editing my last post to label it properly. Can't do, so all the questions are answered between thing 22 & thing 23.
My favorite thing was exposure to the avatar. I had heard about this so it was fun to do and get the exposure.

This program will be helpful in my lifelong learning journey. It is less overwhelming for a novice like me. My comfort level has increased.

What was surprising to me was that even though it was frustrating at times once I accomplished the task it made more sense.

The podcast has been very difficult for me. I still haven't been able to complete this part. I will go back again and try after finishing this part of the survey.

Yes I would probably try another discovery course.

Let's see --one word--can't do. It has been educational, potentially very useful.

thing 22

Today I played on ning. The social networking will most likely not be useful to me. It takes time and I'm from the ole school "socialize face to face"-- this is surely a generation gap or more a technological gap.

thing 20

I have tried to download photostory and it states that download has been blocked. I will try again tomorrow--maybe it will work then.

thing 20

Teacher Tube is great. I put in Economics and view several clips that will be very useful as a review or introduction to new concepts. It also will be of high interest to students and will provide something fun in the dismal science of Economics. This is one I will definitely use in the classroom.

thing 19

Wow - this one was one that can be used for everything! It was easy to navigate around, Seoomoz.org is a great source to get started with.. The fun stuff, health and travel were especially appealing to me.

thing 18

Beginning to lose focus. The Google and open office will be useful to students that do not have tools on there personal computer. This being free is wonderful for our student demographic.

thing 17

This would be great for as a research tool. In myo own ssearch for information going through numerouse websites and duplicting many efforts. Able to add one to my rollyo. After opening so many new accounts on various sites finding them will be a problem for a novice like me.

thing 16

This one was not as confusing. Wiki looks like fun and useful. The sandbox has been frustrating, kept freezing.

thing 15

This was informative information about the libraries of the future. The reading on the harnessing of collective intelligencies and WorldCat was interesting. Expanding of libraries reach and resources will be a wonderful resource for students if they are able to tap into worldwide resources. I think librarians will have a hugh responsibility to make sure that students use critical thinking skills and not just believe what is put out on a website. This also applies to teachers needing to always consider the source.

thing 14

Technorati can be overwhelming with so much informations. I will need to spend more time at this site. This site can be very useful when I have lots of time to browse and use. Tagging information will b e useful as organizational tools

thing 13

Great organizational tool for websites. Sharing bookmarks and availability is a "good thing"
Del.icio.us was delicious, lots of useful tags Furl was alittle more detailed than I will probably need. Magnolia- social bookmaqrking waqs interesting, nice to know about.

thing 12

This was very helpful for me. With the political season going full force it will be interesting to read blogs from supporters of the canadidates. Can be used in local politics as well. Must be careful to check sources of blog and comments. The commandments reinforce the concept of simply courtesy in conversations even though they are electronic.

thing 11

This was the easiest one to do. I added five books --this will be a very useful site to share books and also discuss online, like a book club.

thing 10

Having difficulty in posting info. for this task. Have image on desktop but can't get to blog page.

thing 9

The method that was the easiest was Blogline. I found the search toll technocrat to be the easiest to get around. These can be some useful feeds but could become very time consuming.

thing 8

I like being able to pull market news quickly--it will be useful in keeping up with current statistics in economics. The Google reader will be useful personally as well.

thing 7

Since I'm clueless the calendar will be very helpful to keep track of my activities and responsibilities personally and professionally.

The picassa will be helpful in having students send computer generated advertisements for the market project.

thing 6

Trading cards will be useful for student input.

thing 5

This will be a useful tool in the market project if students can load advertisements to blog page.

Thing #4

I made my avatar, and sent my blog address to Vaugh Brannon.

Thing #3

This has been very difficult, having to sign in and create new email accounts has not been easy.
Thanks to J. Benefield and TC I would not have been able to get to this point.

Thing #2

This has been somewhat confusing but I have gotten through it. It will be very useful in the classroom plus in my personal lifelong learning journey
